About us

 The company ELBIS Ltd. (Bełchatów II Power Plant until February 2003) had been established by the state-owned Bełchatów Power Station. The company was registered on 20 September 1996.

Presently ELBIS is in the Polish Power Group (all shares in ELBIS are owned by the PGE "Bełchatów" Power Plant (PGE Elektrownia Bełchatów S.A.), whose majority shareholder is PGE Power and Mining (PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka S.A.), which in turn belongs to the Polish Power Group (Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A.).

 The main objectives of ELBIS' business include: 
  • project management services – including, among others, playing a role of the deputy investor at developing the 858 MW power unit construction project,
  • energy market services and energy market related activities – including, among others, operation of the Internet Electricity Trading Platform - poee;
  • services and development of projects for electricity generation in combination with heat and from renewable sources;
  • onsulting services in energy efficiency improvement.

The Company is legally registered in the National Court Register under No 0000041526.

Share capital of the Company: 46 070 thousand PLN.
